hey guys...as some of you know im working on a fighting game for a class this quarter....anyways im makeing a list of characters for the game...and well...im lacking in oc's ...i really have like 4 that i can think of to use...so i was thinking ...hay! people on DA are all oc crazy...

so heres the deal

want your character to be in my game? let me know here in this journal! please send links for reference AFTER READING THE FOLLOWING.

here are some questions and answers...if you have any more PLEASE ASK so i can add them here....but i hope this might answer a few.


Question: Does this mean my character will automatically be in your game?

Answer: no..sorry...i will pick and choose the characters i want to use....please note that this is more a matter of TIME not a matter of me not liking your character....which leads to the next question...


Question: If im a super cool person with nothing to do can i make sprites of my character to be in your game??

Answer: MAYBE...i appreciate super cool people with nothing to do who want to make stuff for me <3 however i want this game to have a certain level of polish. I will require samples of your work. If i approve then will send you a sprite sheet of my character that you can use to customize your own.


Question: why would i want you using my character?

Answer: i dunno! why not? wouldnt you like your creation to be part of something more? if not then no worries...im not out to steal oc's just wanted to reach out and give some a chance to do something fun.


Question: Will i get CREDITED? hrm??

Answer: but of course. The final project will be a downloadable .exe file that will be posted on my site as well as here. (if i cant post it here ill post a deviation w/ a link to my site) On the deviation comments will be credits for everyone who participated/lent their characters to be beat up relentlessly by others characters. Also somehow credits will be put onto the actual game.


Question: Genre??

Answer: YES........basically mostly anything goes...ill make a list of stuff i can think of...if you have another thing in mind and dont see it here...go ahead and ask!

Question: Do I gotta send them in right now or can I draw some and then send them in?

Answer: It does not have to be something you have had for forever...you can totally create something like NOW and be like "hey a character" ....doesnt matter to me


Question: If we have an idea for a character, do we have to be able to make it into a sprite to show you, or can we just send you a picture?

Answer: reference images do NOT have to be pixel art..i just need enough reference to get a GOOD feel for the character and i ((or you if given the go ahead)) will do the transformation into pixelly-ness


Question: Are we alowed to post more than one character?

Answer: YUP

please remember that creating sprite animation is very time consuming! theres a good chance i wont be able to insert all characters if any aside from mine (for the class at least...i hope this can grow and mature even after the class is over)...but i would really love for there to be a nice selection.
